DRIP SERIES

The world around us and the world we make for ourselves will always have a layer of chaos. No matter how much we try to control, or not control this chaos. The paintings from my drip series capture the beauty of the chaotic nature around us. These paintings are made entirely out of bright, colorful drips of acrylic paint. There is a variety of thick slow drips and fast thin drips, which create a wonderful scene of chaotic layers and energetic texture. The chancy technique of dripping paint to create an image embodies the idea of letting go in life. We need to have a level of control in our lives but need to also give in to the things we cannot fully control. This is what life is to me - messy, but beautiful. I want these paintings to bring joy and celebration of our wonderful wild world.
